Our founder
Martin Keane has over 20 years experience working with food. Fuelled by his passion for quality ingredients, his relentless curiosity, and, of course, his appetite, he is a chef who has feed hundreds at weddings, created intimate moments for special occasions and hosted pop-ups events throughout London.
Driven by passion
It all started when he took the adage ‘seeing how the sausage is made’ rather literally and worked at Turner and George for 3 years, learning butchery at a London institution. His true love, however, is fire cooking, managing the dance between flame and food, even the wood itself. So much so that he founded a cooking woods and charcoal company which was then stocked in 140 stores throughout the country.
The biggest takeaway from that experience was just how much attention to detail really matters. He carries that lesson with him, along with a healthy pour of generosity, thoughtfulness, and care.
